Scene-Monologue Study

This class is necessary to evolve as an actor and strengthen your performing skills. We help you select and develop suitable monologues for presentation to agents and theatrical auditions.
Also, actors will perform contemporary and classical scenes with partners. All geared to raise your acting ability above the norm. Charles knows how to get actors over the top quickly, helping to find that key element, turning average performances into paid performances.
Included in the many things taught in this class are, line by line script analyses, arcs/beats, internalization, characterization, believability, blocking, creating your environment, and drawing your audience in.
On-Camera Class
"It is vital for an actor to understand the difference between stage and camera work especially in the audition process!" - C.A.
In this class we tape our students, play them back on television and critique their performance. It is important for the actor to see how they present themselves on screen.
Actors must also understand the major differences between stage and film work, and the art of acting and the audition process. Only after mastering on-camera and scene-monologue work can actors appreciate how both forms integrate. Students work alone, in pairs and in groups doing scenes and mimicking real auditions preparing them to land those jobs!
The many things studied in this class include cold readings, commercial work, improvisation, auditioning techniques, script analyses and slating. We also teach the complete business application including headshots, resumes, portfolios, agents, casting directors, self-promotion, unions, the audition process, principles, featured extras, and extras.

REDESIGN THEM! Reinvent those worn denim jeans, shirts, old fashioned dresses, sweaters with holes, table clothes, blankets, you name it…..or even fabrics that are laying around waiting for something to be done with, and transform them into your own creation.
This is not intended to be a boring sewing class, but a class where you can express yourself through your creativity, and make it reality.
Class:
This class is open to students of all skill levels. You will explore step-by-step methods to take apart garments and recreate them as unique pieces of wearable art.
I will present strategies for recycling fabric from existing clothing to create patterns for new designs. You will learn some basic sewing techniques, and write/draw your ideas on paper, and learn how to take measurements.
Cutting, pinning, and basic sewing skills will be presented in a manner that is simple and easy to understand. At the completion of the course, you will be familiar enough with reconstruction techniques to redesign and recreate from your old clothes. The results are attractive, eye-catching, one-of-a-kind, and bound to evoke compliments. A sewing machine is not require, But recommended Spaces:
Space is limited. I will only be taking three to five students per class, so that you can have the necessary help to accomplish your project. This is a great class for those who want some experience fashion designing. For that I will ask you to only sign up if you are serious about attending, and serious about learning this wonderful skill.

It's the US flag painted on 13 Redwood panels. Each panel is composed of separate Redwwod panels braced together with metal straps...More pics to come.
I emphasize the Redwood, because these were some of the redwood panels that were taken out of my house. My house was built in 1906. And then I gathered more old redwood panels and painted on them. It's pleasing to me to put bring the redwood back to life!
The pieces were not cut with the utmost precision displayed in American cabinetry skills. Which, allows them to have the abstraction needed that's evident in my Art. The stars are metal and painted white and fastened with screws.
Along the edge of the flag are brush strokes that I did to clean/clear my brush, adding abstraction as well as statements or thoughts dealing with my state of mind at the time.
The flag is 15 feet wide x 9 feet tall.
It is composed of 13 panels, maybe 14, that weigh approximately 25 lbs. each. The construction of each panel is very durable with metal strapping and wood bracing for each panel.
