"Publicly juried" means that all artwork submitted will be presented online prior to the exhibition so that Projekt30's visitors may select which artists will be included in final 30 artist exhibition. Held in a Large Art Gallery

Sunday, October 19 - 11:30 am to 4:30 pm

Location: A large Art Gallery with lots of interesting backgrounds including sculptures, paintings and furniture that can be used with the models.

Models: We will have 3 experienced and attractive female models.

Photos of models hired for this workshop and the art gallery location can be seen in an online photo gallery. Please send a reply to this posting and we will send you a link.

Workshop Organization: Our goal is to help photographers get a high percentage of quality shots that you will be proud of and want to keep for your portfolio.

Photographers will be organized into groups of three per model and each member of the group will have 20 minutes of exclusive shooting time with each of the three models.

We will be available to help you with lighting and composing your shots and the other members of the group are available to help as well. We encourage a group approach to creating memorable images for everyone.

Photographers will be able to shoot using studio type lighting equipment or you can use natural light.

Who Should Attend: This workshop is open to all levels of photographers, men and women, and you can shoot with either a digital or film camera.

Workshop Fee: $225 includes model releases from all 3 models.

Come to a writing group that develops the writing, stories, imagination, and unique voice of each member by using Pat Schneider's Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) method.

Everyone is welcome. The groups give an enthusiastic start to new writers and help those who've been writing for decades go to new places.

The workshops follow some simple guidelines to create a safe space where everyone feels confident and free to create, experiment, take risks, make things up, or tell the truth.

Looking for a local artist whose photography or paintings may go well in a yoga studio and has a body of work that could go up this week. Most of the work we show is spiritual or nature based.

Pertinent details:

-Photography and artwork must be framed or on canvas. If you have a link to your work or can send me a few photos that would be very helpful.

-The studio has two spaces: a lobby and the practice space. The lobby is the easiest to fill with a lot of wall space (could hold 5-10 pieces depending on size). The practice space is a little bit tricky to fill. It could hold 16-25 pieces depending on size, but the wall space is limited to about 3 feet from a shelf to the ceiling. I can send you pictures of the space if you're interested.

-It would be best if you could come by the studio tonight or tomorrow to determine if your work is a match. Due to a last minute cancellation, the need for an artist is ASAP. Please let me know in your response if you will be available this week to put up your work. This will require you to be available to put up your work after the studio closes (9pm on most days).

-The studio takes a 20% commission on pieces that you sell.

I am doing a fashion show for the Decompression Heat the Street Faire in SF tomorrow. Tons of fun, food, music, art and amazing performances! Super last minute, I know, but I need 5 models, thick or thin, any race is fine. I do need at least one person that can fit size 11 jeans. My style is a fusion of bright, colorful African patterns and an 80s punk/metal. Wanted: Figure painter or portrait artist to join Berkeley long pose group. We meet Thursday evenings, from 7-10, (near Ashby bart station). Model holds the same pose for one month. Model fee and miniimum utilities, shared by the group. The price is $15-$20, depending on how many people are in the group. The group has been together for 6 months now.
